Clinton Public Schools (CPS) in Oklahoma will partner with Allovue to streamline their annual budgeting process, increase efficiency, and improve reporting. They are looking for tools that make it easy to track funds from different sources, especially grant funds; facilitate and enhance collaboration between district departments; and empower principals by giving them real-time access to their budgets and more autonomy over school-level transactions. The district also wants to bolster financial transparency as they hone their budgeting models so that they can communicate effectively with the CPS community about their plans.
Allovue’s tools will allow CPS principals to easily track school-based spending so that they can purchase the materials and supplies their teachers and students need. The district will be able to boost efficiency by monitoring spending across grants and categories and use reader-friendly reports and visuals to help with public messaging regarding budgets.
Superintendent Tyler Bridges looks forward to introducing efficient and easy-to-use solutions for managing CPS budgets. “Financial transparency is crucial, but the limitations of our legacy systems have made it difficult for the district to achieve this. Allovue will give us the tools to really focus on fostering internal and external transparency.”
Allovue’s Manage software gives principals accessible and up-to-date information on their schools’ finances using easy-to-interpret visuals and plain English context (instead of accounting codes). When they can monitor their budgets at a glance, principals can spend intentionally to meet their schools’ needs and devote more time to supporting students. Managing grant spending will also become more straightforward, as Allovue can help track fund sources and deadlines. The Allovue Budget software will help CPS departments collaborate on building budgets and staffing plans. Using Allovue, CPS will be able to connect planned expenses to district priorities to clearly show how the budget plan will support its students.
