From June 2023:
Serving more than 45,000 students, Columbus City Schools (CCS) has joined three other Ohio districts in adopting Allovue’s suite of education finance software. This summer, CCS will implement Allovue Manage for the 2024 school year and Allovue Budget in preparation for the 2024-2025 budget cycle. Two of CCS’s top goals are to streamline non-personnel budget planning and improve financial clarity for budget stakeholders.
“This technology will allow our team of finance experts to focus more on strategic aims and less on tedious tasks,” said Columbus City Schools Treasurer/CFO Stanley Bahorek. “We also hope to create a more robust understanding of budgets outside the central office,” he added.
By showing real-time highlights and spending trends, Allovue Manage will make it simpler to monitor schools’ resource use throughout the year. By consolidating site-level data and facilitating nuanced analyses of resource distribution, Allovue Budget will assist CCS leaders with strategic budgeting, the process of assessing expenses and ensuring they align with district priorities.
In the future, CCS will implement Allovue Allocate so that district leaders can more easily review and update resource allocation models.
“We’re very excited to launch this partnership with Columbus City Schools,” said Laura Nord, SVP of Sales at Allovue. “CCS wants to modernize their finance systems and increase transparency—we look forward to helping them achieve these goals.”
