Balance Allocate: Transparency for District Stakeholders (On-Demand)

In this on-demand recording, learn how Allocate helps district leaders easily share the reasoning behind their budgeting decisions with district stakeholders.

How are resources allocated in your district? If a constituent or board member asked you how state or local resources are allocated to each school in your district, could you answer that? How specific could you be? Adjusting a funding formula can be a time intensive and strenuous process.

Does your methodology map to student need?

A tool like Allocate can help. For many districts, the first barrier to evaluating a funding formula is time. Allocate helps you being the important work of investigating this questions and exploring others. The tool allows districts to:

  • Model and run district budgets through funding formula for resource allocation
  • Align strategic priorities with resource allocations to sites
  • Improve fiscal transparency with stakeholders

Join Allovue's Senior Account Advisor, Justin Dayhoff, live as he highlights some of Allocate's most beloved features and explains how Allocate helps district leaders easily share the reasoning behind their budgeting decisions with district stakeholders.

Justin Dayhoff, Senior Account Advisor, has more than a decade of experience working directly in and with public schools. His focus is school finance, with particular emphasis on school, district and state school funding models that attend to advancing vertical fiscal equity for students. He left the classroom and his role as a data specialist to pursue a PhD in Education Policy and School Finance. After additional time in central office, including the design and implementation of funding formulas for a $2 billion school district, Justin founded the company Equiday to specifically support equity analyses and the design, implementation, and support of innovative weighted and staffing funding models for k-12 school districts. Following Equiday’s acquisition by Allovue, Justin continues to support this work and develop new approaches with an even broader base of partners.
